Ashworth, Inc. Awarded Contract as the Lead Apparel Vendor for the 2004-2006 U.S. Women's Open.

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2003

Ashworth, Inc. (Nasdaq:ASHW), a leading designer of sportswear and golf apparel, today announced it was awarded a multi-year contract as the lead apparel vendor for the 2004-2006 U.S. Women's Open Championships. Ashworth was awarded this unprecedented contract by Bruno Event Management Team, the independent championship management company contracted by the USGA USGA United States Golf Association
USGA Uhren & Schmuck Gassner (Germany)
USGA US Global Nanospace Inc. (stock symbol)
USGA Undergraduate Student Government Association
 to manage these events.

Under terms of the agreement, Ashworth will be involved in four key elements of the U.S. Women's Open, including the Merchandise Pavilion, the Corporate Merchandise Program, the volunteer uniforms and the official U.S. Women's Open retail shop.

Ashworth will supply state-of-the-art fixtures for the 10,000 sq. ft. Merchandise Pavilion. The interior of the pavilion has been professionally designed with all aspects of an authentic retail shop. Ashworth will be the number one brand represented inside the pavilion and will sell men's, women's, kids', outerwear, headwear head·wear

A hat or other covering for the head.
 and t-shirts. More than 100,000 individuals are expected to attend the Championship.

Ashworth is also the lead apparel vendor for the U.S. Women's Open Corporate merchandise program through which BET will offer product to the corporate patrons of the U.S. Women's Open.

Ashworth will be providing uniforms for the 2,500 U.S. Women's Open volunteers. The uniforms have been specifically designed for the Championship.

Ashworth will also be the lead apparel vendor for the first ever U.S. Women's Open Retail Shop in South Hadley, Massachusetts South Hadley is a town in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA. The population was 17,196 at the 2000 census. It is home to Mount Holyoke College and South Hadley High School. History
South Hadley was first settled in 1659 and was officially incorporated in 1775.
. The interior of this 1,200 sq. ft. retail shop has been outfitted by Ashworth. The shop will promote the U.S. Women's Open prior to the championship, also giving people a chance to purchase official product leading up to the week of the 2004 championship to be held at the Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts, July 1 - 4. This shop will also sell tickets to the Championship as well as provide corporate clients a place to purchase product.
