This evaluation program is expected to start in approximately two to three months and be completed over a period not exceeding six months from its inception.

Under the terms of an agreement with Texas Star Resources Inc. ("TSR"), Ashton has an option to acquire a 51 percent interest in this Project following a successful joint bid to obtain the mining rights to this Project. The decision to bid for the mining rights will be based on the grade of the deposit and the estimate of the stone value as determined under this advanced evaluation program. Only one other group is qualified to participate in the bidding process.

Ashton's recent involvement in this Project is a significant new step in Ashton's continued commitment to diamond exploration in North America.
