("Ashton") is pleased to announce the progress of testing of the Crater of Diamonds near Murfreesboro, Arkansas Murfreesboro is a city in Pike County, Arkansas, United States. The Crater of Diamonds is a large lamproite intrusion which has been known for years to contain diamonds of a wide range of sizes and quality. The current Phase II evaluation being managed by the State of Arkansas is the first attempt to obtain a reliable measurement of the diamond content of the deposit. The Phase II evaluation commenced in late September and to date three trenches have been excavated and processed through the nearby dense media plant. The resulting concentrates will be further processed through the diamond recovery sorters in the next few weeks. The overall program is designed to test a total sample of 9,000 to 10,000 tonnes within the next 90 to 120 days.
