Ashfield to Ploughshares.


LAURA ASHFIELD has been appointed intern with Project Ploughshares. The eight-month position should begin this September.

As a representative of the Presbyterian Church, Ashfield has attended the Sabeel International Youth Conference and volunteered with the Global Youth Network. She hosted recent immigrants and refugees in her hometown of Waterloo, Ont. through the YMCA. Ashfield attends Knox where her parents serve as ministers.

The Waterloo-based Project Ploughshares is an ecumenical agency. The internship program is run in partnership with the Life and Mission Agency.
