Ashanti announces completion of legal due diligence.


ACCRA Accra (əkrä`, ăk`rə), city (1984 pop. 867,459), capital of Ghana, a port on the Gulf of Guinea. It is Ghana's largest city and its administrative, communications, and economic center. , Ghana--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 1996--Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd. ("Ashanti") of Ghana today announced that the proposed plan of arrangement involving International Gold Resources Corp. ("IGRC") is no longer subject to a condition relating to confirmatory legal due diligence.

The transaction remains subject to a number of conditions including the receipt of all necessary regulatory, governmental, shareholder and judicial approvals and the approval of Ashanti's and IGRC's board of directors.
