Asera, Inc. has joined the Business Process Management Initiative (BPMI.org), an organization dedicated to standardizing the management of business processes that span multiple applications, corporate departments, and business partners -- both over the Internet and behind the firewall.

Anil Nori, chief technology officer and co-founder of Asera, will participate in the member meeting held from March 27-28, 2002 at the Chicago Hilton, in conjunction with the Chicago eBusiness Integration Conference. Nori participated in the panel on March 25 entitled "BPM Best Practices," as well as the panel on March 26 entitled "Making Sense of Web Services Standards."

Technology market analyst firms like Gartner and AMR Research continue to advocate the need for BPM solutions. Gartner positions BPM as a key component of their "Enterprise Nervous System." Similarly, AMR Research calls BPM a fundamental segment of the "Enterprise Commerce Management" structure.
