Asera Inc., provider of the leading eBusiness Operating System, announced today that Vice President of Marketing Mark Atherton will present at the High Technology Consortium's (HTC) Enterprise Integration Conference Aug. 17 at The Toll House in Los Gatos, Calif. The conference is part of HTC's Common Integration Exchange (CIX) Initiative, which seeks to establish a common business processes approach for the diverse exchange industry.

Atherton will present on "Web Services -- Business Processes Driving Customized and Packaged Applications." Representing leading companies such as GE, Sun Microsystems and TIBCO, other presenters will address an array of topics, including: Return on Investment of Common Integration Processes; Collaborative Value Chain Paradigm; Enterprise Internal Exchanges and Supply Chain Collaboration; and Value of B2B Exchanges in Supply Chain Management.

The High Tech Consortium (HTC) was formed in late 1998 to fight the Y2K bug. The HTC successfully navigated through Y2K and was instrumental in preventing any business interruptions among its members. With its initial task complete, the HTC is now turning its attention to non-Y2K supply-chain challenges that members face. Specifically, the Consortium has plans to help its members work collectively to streamline business processes, share best practices, and establish common benchmarks and standards at all levels of the supply chain process.
