Asera Names Jim Hilbert Senior Vice President of Sales and Channels; New Executive's Record Expected to Accelerate Enterprise Software Company's Growth.

Asera, Inc. today announced the appointment of Jim Hilbert as senior vice president of sales. Hilbert, who previously held executive level positions in sales and business development at EpicRealm, Support.com (Nasdaq:SPRT), Tivoli Systems, an IBM company (NYSE:IBM), and Amdahl, will lead Asera's North American sales team and worldwide sales channels.

Hilbert joins Asera as a technology veteran, having served as the senior vice president of sales, services, and strategic alliances at EpicRealm, Inc., a global content delivery network. Prior to that, Hilbert was senior vice president of sales and business development at Support.com where he was responsible for sales and revenue that contributed to a very successful IPO, and building the global sales team and channel partners in Europe and Asia. Before joining Support.com, Hilbert was vice president and general manager of Tivoli's Storage Management Business. Earlier in his career, Hilbert held management positions at Amdahl Corporation, GTE Corporation, FMC Corporation and Texas Instruments. Hilbert holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Texas.
