Asera, Inc., the leading provider of adaptive eBusiness solutions(TM), announced the appointment of Rohit DeSouza to lead a new initiative to license its flagship software platform to Global 2000 enterprises and private exchanges to accelerate its growth worldwide. Reporting to Warren Weiss, president and chief executive officer, Mr. DeSouza will be president of Asera Technologies.

At Oracle, DeSouza worked directly with Ray Lane to initiate and lead Oracle's move into the B2B eCommerce arena and oversee the business operations of the large vertical exchange ventures powered by Oracle. Prior to his B2B exchange role, he was vice president of Solutions for Oracle Product Industries where he worked with the Global Fortune 500 to define and implement technology-based solutions to key business issues. Before joining Oracle, DeSouza was a consultant with Booz-Allen and Hamilton for ten years, and was also with Intel Corporation for six years in various strategy and operations roles.
