Asera, Inc. Appoints Three New Vice Presidents; New Executives to Advance the Market Leadership of Asera's eBusiness Platform.

Asera, Inc., the leading provider of adaptive eBusiness solutions(TM), announced today the appointments of Mark Oakey as vice president of channel sales, Mark Atherton as vice president of product marketing and Robert Wagner as vice president of product management.

Prior to joining Asera, Mr. Oakey served as vice president of B2B Exchanges at Oracle where he led sales efforts for large industry and private exchanges across Oracle's Industrial customer base. He was also responsible for the strategic direction and development for Oracle's Exchange Solution in the Oracle industrial vertical sector. Mr. Oakey was actively involved in several of Oracle's Exchange marketplaces including Auto-xchange and Covisint. Prior to his B2B exchange position, Mr. Oakey was senior director of strategic procurement The fancy word for "purchasing." The procurement department within an organization manages all the major purchases.  for Oracle's Industrial Solutions Group. Mark Atherton, Vice President of Product Marketing

In this role, Mr. Atherton will develop pricing, product positioning and global competitive selling strategies to accelerate market adoption of Asera's Platform, development tools called the Applications Workbench, and its suite of eBusiness applications such as Asera Order Management for sell-side eBusiness.

Prior to joining Asera, Mr. Atherton was senior director of Oracle Corporation's B2B Exchange team where he played a central role in the worldwide rollout and cross product and organizational integration of the Oracle B2B Exchange. In addition, he managed market strategy and branding for Oracle in industrial markets with an emphasis on the aerospace and defense market. Mr. Atherton also served as program director for Retail Marketers Exchange, a joint venture between Oracle, Chevron and McClane Corporation and was also a member of the leadership team for Covisint, the auto industry B2B venture with partners from Ford, GM, Chrysler, Commerce One and Oracle. Atherton was also a key member of the combined Oracle-Ford team that launched Auto-xchange, Oracle's eBusiness marketplace venture within Ford Motor Company, and for Oracle market strategy in the aerospace and defense vertical. Rob Wagner, Vice President, Product Management

In this role, Mr. Wagner will be responsible for managing Asera's product strategy and development direction for the Asera Platform and eBusiness applications.

Mr. Wagner joins Asera from Oracle Corporation, where he was vice president of Oracle B2B Exchanges and led business development efforts for industry and private exchanges across Oracle's large industrial customers. He was instrumental in the development of the Oracle Exchange-based applications for product development, supply chain management and logistics and transportation. Prior to his B2B exchange role, Mr. Wagner was senior director of industrial solutions for Oracle's aerospace and defense vertical. Previously, Mr. Wagner was a principal in A.T. Kearny's operations practice where he led several large-scale re-engineering and systems implementation projects. Before joining A.T.
