Ascom Wireless Solutions Inc. Signs a National Services Agreement with Triad Hospitals, Inc.

Ascom(R) Wireless Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce that Triad Hospitals, Inc., has signed a National Services Agreement. This agreement will provide access to Ascom Wireless Solutions' family of in-building wireless products for its 49 hospitals and 14 surgery centers nationwide.

The Ascom Freeset DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) An algorithm that is widely used for data compression. Similar to Fast Fourier Transform, DCT converts data (pixels, waveforms, etc.) into sets of frequencies. The first frequencies in the set are the most meaningful; the latter, the least. 1900 is a unique digital wireless telephone system that can be connected to an existing healthcare communications network and integrated with most nurse call systems in use today. Ascom's Freeset DCT1900 system improves productivity by allowing users to move freely around the workplace while maintaining constant communication. The Freeset product group includes the new 9p23 Medic(TM), which is the first portable telephone designed specifically for healthcare.
