market in early Q2 of 2007. The Ascom IP-DECT solution consists of three market-specific DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) A cordless phone standard mostly used in Europe; however, DECT 6.0 is increasingly used worldwide. The first DECT standards were introduced by ETSI in 1992, and DECT phones have been used as cordless home phones as  6.0 portable handsets and IP-DECT base stations enabling dedicated, interference-free wireless VoIP devices that can be registered directly to an IP-PBX (SIP or H.323 based) or to a TDM-PBX using the Ascom VoIP Gateway (T1 Q-SIG or 5ESS based).

The Ascom IP-DECT System combines the proven Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (communications, standard) Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications - (DECT, formerly ".. European ..") A standard developed by the European Telecommunication Standard Institute from 1988, governing pan-European digital mobile telephony.  (DECT) standard operating in the Unlicensed-PCS spectrum (1920-1930 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc. ) with emerging VoIP technologies, capitalizing on both packet data and dedicated high-quality wireless voice on a single network. This modular, scalable wireless communication solution mobilizes the workforce and improves the efficiency of small businesses as well as large multi-site campus environments more cost effectively than ever before.

"Our IP-DECT communications solution presents existing and prospective customers with an interference-free wireless VoIP solution that is not only extraordinarily cost effective but also easy to deploy and maintain.
