Implementation Services -- Seamless Start-Ups

Designed to assist customers with implementing a networking product, Implementation Services provide a flexible and comprehensive program to ensure a seamless network start-up. Realizing that customers have divergent needs, Ascom Timeplex's Implementation Services offer customers several options to customize the service to their technical and budget requirements.

Three levels of service are offered under Implementation Services: Staging, Installation and Enhanced Installation. The Staging option offers a customized program allowing customers to observe, load and test the operation of the network at an Ascom Timeplex Customer Support facility. Customers also have the opportunity to send personnel to participate in the Staging process, giving them in-depth experience with the network, prior to its installation. For a more comprehensive service, application testing application testing - system testing  and network documentation options are also available.

With Installation, highly trained personnel perform the installation and testing of Ascom Timeplex-supplied equipment ensuring local connectivity, physical layer connectivity and network management station access. Several coverage and service options are available providing increased flexibility to the Installation service. With Enhanced Installation, Ascom Timeplex offers Staging, combined with Installation for the most comprehensive implementation support alternative. Implementation Services ensure a smooth transition of Ascom Timeplex equipment into a customer's network.

Maintenance Services -- From Silver to Platinum

Once installation is complete, ongoing maintenance of a system is essential for optimum performance. As with Implementation Services, Maintenance Services offer several options to coordinate with each customer's needs. Whichever contract level is selected, customers will receive expert support from knowledgeable personnel.

Maintenance Services packages provide customers with several contracted time period options for support. Three comprehensive levels of Maintenance Service packages-Platinum, Gold and Silver-allow for the exchange and repair of parts, dispatch of parts and Ascom Timeplex personnel on-site, as well as toll-free phone support through the Technical Assistance Center (TAC 1. TAC - Translator Assembler-Compiler. For Philco 2000.

The most comprehensive Maintenance Services level, Platinum coverage, provides maximum protection for an Ascom Timeplex network, up to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Gold coverage addresses the support needs of customers who require contract service during normal business hours BUSINESS HOURS. The time of the day during which business is transacted. In respect to the time of presentment and demand of bills and notes, business hours generally range through the whole day down to the hours of rest in the evening, except when the paper is payable it a bank or by a . Flexible coverage options allow customers to design this service to meet their unique business needs. Silver coverage offers contracted telephone support, administered through TAC, and is available to meet either business hours, or 7x24 support requirements. The Exchange program provides next business day parts replacement, while Turnaround offers standard, or expedited, repair and return services through the Ascom Timeplex Depot Repair Center.

Support Services -- Pick and Choose

Realizing that customers have different levels of in-house resources, Support Services are designed to provide a comprehensive, balanced suite of services to supplement customers' in-house technical staff.

Support Services offer access to a full range of expertise for Ascom Timeplex-supplied equipment, including parts exchange or repair, telephone support and on-site dispatch support, on a per-incident basis. Providing freedom and flexibility, these services allow customers to choose the service they need, when they need it.
