Ascom Enters Partnership With Sampson Regional Medical Center.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- Ascom(R) Wireless Solutions Inc. (AWS) announced today a partnership agreement with Sampson Regional Medical Center (SRMC). AWS has installed an on-site wireless communication system valued at over $180,000 at SRMC, establishing a local test and reference site to expand knowledge of how wireless communication solutions benefit the hospital and healthcare market. AWS will have full access to the hospital staff for continuous observation and feedback for improvements in overall processes and workflow. Knowledge gained through this partnership allows AWS to better address important issues facing the healthcare industry today by helping hospitals streamline communications, increasing patient satisfaction and safety.

The AWS Freeset DCT1900 system integrates with existing nurse call, patient monitoring, laboratory information, radiology information and building management systems by automatically delivering text messages and alerts directly to a caregivers' wireless device, enabling quicker response for patients and hospital staff, increasing work flow and patient satisfaction while lowering risks to patients and the hospital.

Within two months SRMC has realized the benefits with the AWS system.
