Ascom Announces Integrated Messaging Server.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- Ascom(R) Wireless Solutions Inc. announced today the availability of the Integrated Messaging Server (IMS) for the Freeset DCT1900 on-site wireless communication system. Integrated Messaging Server provides an intelligent messaging interface between the Freeset DCT1900 onsite wireless communication system and the Ascom Communication Gateway which allows for quicker response, reliable communication, efficient two-way messaging and detailed audit trail logs.

Integrated Messaging Server is a hardware/software platform with a reliable, fully customizable interface that allows the system to effectively manage and track two way messages and events. IMS uses a Linux server with a web-based user interface and an Open Access Protocol (OAP) for interfacing to external systems. Users can adapt the solution to fit their specific needs. Audit trial logs record each event in the system, such as message creation, handset receipt, user acknowledgement and response, message deletion and others. This functionality gives customers the proper reporting necessary for performance feedback and auditing exercises, which is ideal for the support of the 2005 National Patient Safety goals associated with JCAHO compliance.
