) solutions, today announced that Scott Semel has joined the company as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. With more than 20 years of legal experience, Mr. Semel is responsible for leading Ascential's legal team in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Mr. Semel comes to Ascential Software with 21 years of extensive legal experience, having previously served as general counsel and secretary to both NaviSite, Inc. in Andover, Mass. and Designs, Inc. in Needham, Mass. Mr. Semel's information technology legal experience includes expertise in the areas of alliance negotiation, risk management and corporate governance Corporate Governance
