Ascend Media sells Stagnito unit and gambling titles.


Ascend Media (Overland Park Overland Park, city (1990 pop. 111,790), Johnson co., NE Kans., a residential suburb of Kansas City; inc. 1960. Ascend Media President/CEO Cameron Bishop said his company sold the properties so it could "focus solely on the medical and healthcare sector where nearly two-thirds of our business resides." BNP Media produces over 50 magazines in eight major market sectors, including: Architecture & Construction ("Environmental Design & Construction," "Contemporary Stone & Tile Design," etc.); Flooring ("Tile," "Floor Covering Installer," etc.); Food & Packaging ("Prepared Foods," "Packaging Strategies," etc.); HVACR HVACR Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration  ("Engineered Systems," "Energy & Power Management," etc.); Industrial Machinery ("Visions & Sensors," "Process Heating," etc,); Manufacturing ("Appliance Design," "Paint & Coatings Industry," etc.); Plumbing ("Supply House Times," "Reeves Journal," etc.); and, Security Systems ("Security," "SDM SDM - Schematic Data Model " and :Smart Home"). The company also produces over 40 related events and 75 web sites.

The Cleantech Network, produced by Cleantech Media (Ann Arbor, MI), has acquired the cleantech online industry publication "Inside Greentech" (San Francisco, CA), a title that has attracted 150,000 unique readers over its first 10 months of operation. No terms were given. The title will be rebranded Cleantech.com and represent the flagship of Cleantech Media.
