RAC Revenue Leadership

Ascend leads all equipment vendors in RAC revenue to service providers according to all of the latest reports, as well as total RAC revenue according to four of the most recent market share reports. Ascend's leading market share figures in RAC revenue to service providers include 40.7 percent -- nearly 15 percentage points more than the nearest competitor (Cahners In-Stat, Q1 '99 data), 41.6 percent -- nearly 14 percentage points more than the nearest competitor (Dell'Oro, Q1 '99 data), 30.9 percent (IDC, 1998 data), 34.7 percent (Probe Research, 1998 data), and 35.5 percent (Synergy Research, Q1 '99 data). RAC Port Leadership

Ascend continues to be the recognized leader in worldwide RAC port shipments in virtually every published report covering the market segment. Ascend's lead in RAC port shipments has been calculated to be nearly 20 percent more than the closest competitor (Probe Research, 1998 market data).
