Ascend also announced that its Board of Directors has approved a two-for-one stock split, payable in the form of a stock dividend. Stockholders will receive one additional share for every share held. The dividend will be distributed on or about Oct. 5, 1995 to stockholders of record at the close of business on Sept. 25, 1995. Upon completion of the split approximately 55,000,000 common shares will be outstanding.
