: ASND ASND A Streetcar Named Desire (play) ) today announced a strategic multi-phase joint development and marketing partnership with NetManage Inc., Cupertino, Calif., (NASDAQ: NETM), the leading provider of standards-based IntraNet and Internet solutions to the corporate marketplace. The first stage of the alliance is a custom co-branded version of NetManage's award-winning Chameleon IntraNet application suite. The software will be bundled with selected Ascend MAX and Pipeline products and downloadable from Ascend's World Wide Web site.

Chameleon is the most comprehensive IntraNet and Internet applications suite available in the market today. Among other capabilities, this standards-based applications suite enables remote users to access any host and server data. For the first time, a remote access vendor and an IntraNet applications vendor have teamed to bundle a best-selling product at no additional charge. The multi-phase partnership agreement also includes long term plans for more extensive joint development and technology sharing between the two companies.
