Asbury Automotive Group Names Robert Frank Senior VP - Automotive Operations.

, Inc., one of the nation's largest automotive retailers, today announced that Robert D. Frank, Jr. has joined the company as senior vice president in charge of automotive operations.

Mr. Frank, 53, is a veteran with more than 30 years in the automotive industry The automotive industry is the industry involved in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of motor vehicles. In 2006, more than 69 million motor vehicles, including cars and commercial vehicles were produced worldwide. , mostly with DaimlerChrysler Corporation.

In the newly created position of senior vice president, automotive operations, Mr. Frank will have corporate level responsibility for operations at Asbury's 91 auto dealerships and nine regional "platforms" across the U.S.
