Asante updates IntraCore.


Asante Technologies, Inc., a provider of networking solutions for the small to medium-sized business (SMB) market, has announced updates for its IntraCore 35516 Layer 3 Gigabit switches. The IC35516 switch's Guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) allocates bandwidth for high-priority traffic, such as Voice over IP (VoIP). New routing protocol support includes Virtual Redundant Routing Protocol (VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) A protocol for switching to a backup router in the case of failure. Two or more routers are set up with VRRP, and one is elected the "master. ) and Q-in-Q VLAN Tunneling. Additional key features: enforced enterprise-class routing, offering robust routing capabilities, including support for Routing Information Protocol See RIP.
