Asante expands and redesigns Plug-and-Play hub family.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 19, 1994--Asante Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: ASNT) Monday announced the addition of a 24-port hub to its plug-and-play hub product line of unmanaged Ethernet hubs, a total product redesign for its existing 8- and 12-port versions, and the addition of a 6-port BNC hub.

The new products are aggressively priced starting at $21.00 per port (street price) and have a lifetime warranty -- one of the first in the industry.

These new cost-effective hubs have several new features including a larger LED display visible from every angle to allow for easier trouble shooting and added flexibility in installation. Combined with the new smaller form factor, customers have greater freedom of choice in where (wiring closet or cubicle) and how (wall mount or desktop) they want to install the product.

Finally, unlike all other hubs on the market, the Asante plug-and-play hubs have built-in, coexistent support for RJ-45, AUI and BNC ports, making it the most flexible and easiest solution to set up for the departmental or workgroup network user.
