Asante and HELIOS Announce NetDoubler Acceleration in EtherShare; Offers Dramatically Improved Server Performance for Prepress and Publishing.SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 1997--Asante Technologies Inc., a leading supplier of Ethernet and Fast Ethernet networking products, and HELIOS Software GmbH, a leading supplier of UNIX-based high-performance server solutions, today jointly announced HELIOS will integrate Asante's NetDoubler network acceleration software into its new version of EtherShare. HELIOS has announced the availability of NetDoubler for EtherShare as a free "test drive" server update off its Web site at www.helios.de . The test drive runs through May 1, 1997, after which future releases will integrate the NetDoubler server into EtherShare with prices starting at $3,900 for 20 users. HELIOS' customers with a software update agreement will receive the EtherShare NetDoubler server update and the new version of EtherShare at no cost as part of their software update agreement.
