To be capitalized at 490 million yen ($4.4 mil), A-K Membrane Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will be located in Miyazaki and will manufacture and distribute hollow fiber membranes using EVAL, Kuraray's proprietary ethylene ethylene (ĕth`əlēn') or ethene (ĕth`ēn), H2C=CH2, a gaseous unsaturated hydrocarbon.
