As the 2nd Quarter Closes, Obama to Reach Out to Grassroots Donors in Minneapolis.


CHICAGO -- In the final days of the second fundraising quarter, Barack Obama plans to reach out to grassroots donors in Minneapolis at a community kick-off on Friday evening. The campaign announced this morning that more than 242,000 individuals have contributed to the campaign since Barack Obama entered the race in February with the goal of surpassing the 250,000 donor mark by the close of the quarter at midnight on Saturday.

Obama has hosted community kickoffs in cities across the country where the ticket prices start at $25 including events in Chicago, Kansas City Kansas City, two adjacent cities of the same name, one (1990 pop. 149,767), seat of Wyandotte co., NE Kansas (inc. 1859), the other (1990 pop. 435,146), Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties, NW Mo.
