He was born in 1966 in Boston, MA to a family of Greek extraction. He has been in regional and national leadership of a number of movements for democracy and social justice in the and Charles Provenzano founded As We Are, "a progressive magazine for working young people (not a privileged elite)" that focuses on real people and activists--not Wall Street or Hollywood. The first issue features an essay by Pramas about why the media are so eager to concoct con·coct tr.v. con·coct·ed, con·coct·ing, con·cocts 1. Pramas's thesis is that business and government are trying to cut Social Security by fostering resentment of the elderly among young adults. "We view our magazine as a net that we cast into communities that the Left does not reach."
