SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 5, 1997--Jon Fernandez, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of the $15 million TriNet Communications Inc., the leading provider of telecommunications and data network supply, announced today the official opening of its new 30,000-square-foot California corporate headquarters, distribution and manufacturing facility in Livermore.

An additional 12,000-square-foot distribution center also opened in Dallas.

"As I look back to when I started the company as the sole employee with no money or customers," said Fernandez, founder of this ISO (1) See ISO speed.

In 1989, Fernandez started TriNet with a capital investment of $50,000 from the sale of a rental house. Today the firm is rated as one of the largest Hispanic-owned businesses in the nation. "Our plans are to become a nationwide distributor of telecommunications and data networking equipment with warehouses in Atlanta, Denver, New York New York, state, United States

With the strong economy in California and with the high technology industry centered there, Fernandez believes there will be tremendous growth statewide over the next five years. "As more companies require computer-to-computer speed and as they convert to client server technology, we are well positioned to become a major supplier of equipment in this market."

TriNet features its own line of products and services: Category 5 Patch Chords, Distribution Fiber Points, Type 10 and Type 12 Cable Stubs stubs

"Our data network market has grown 200% over the past year," said Fernandez. "As we acquire additional manufacturing lines, we expect this growth to continue over the next three years."

"We expect our cable assemble to grow with the rest of our business as we continue to gain market share of the data networking industry. Our new, fully air-conditioned manufacturing area, will enable us to install additional equipment and hire assembly employees to meet demand," he said.

Fernandez gives a recent example of their success in this area. "TriNet was just awarded a $5.4 million contract with the San Ramon based Pacific Bell for the supply and distribution of pedestal and grade level terminals. Pacific Bell uses these terminals, manufactured by Channell Commercial Corp. (CHNL CHNL Channel ) of Temecula, to connect their subscribers to their cable network," he explained.

Fernandez said that he has not seen this kind of economic growth since the early 1980s. "Interest rates are down, new construction is up and most businesses are thriving. To us, this translates as continued success," he concluded.
