by Joanne Barnaby that covers signficant cultural developments since the first edition, As Long As This Land Shall Last: A History Of Treaty 8 and Treaty 11, 1870-1939 by Canadian historian Rene Fumoleau examines two specific treaties (Treaty 8--1899-1900 and Treaty 11-1921) between the Canadian government and the First Nations peoples The following is a list of First Nations peoples organized by Indigenous geographic area. This list does not include Metis or Canadian Inuit groups. The areas used here are in accordance to those used by the Canadian Museum of Civilization [1]  from northern Alberta Norhern Alberta is a region located in the Canadian province of Alberta.

Its primary industry is oil and gas, with large heavy oil reserves being exploited at the Athabasca Oil Sands and Wabasca Area in the east of the region.
and the Northwest Territories Northwest Territories, territory (2001 pop. 37,360), 532,643 sq mi (1,379,028 sq km), NW Canada. The Northwest Territories lie W of Nunavut, N of lat. 60°N, and E of Yukon. . These treaties promised that the native peoples could live and hunt in freedom on their ancestral lands "as long as the sun rises from east to west, as long as the river flows downstream, as long as this land shall last." Black-and-white photographs and plain-terms text clearly spell out history, expectations, and conflicts. A welcome contribution to Native American history and reference shelves.
