 and ride control products for both the original equipment (OE) and replacement markets, has appointed Robert W. (Rob) Malone III as Vice President of Worldwide Ford Sales for ride control products. The new position is being created to enhance Arvin's focus on customer service for Ford Motor Company, one of the largest customers of Arvin's ride control products.

"This new position has been developed to ensure Arvin's goal of being everywhere in the world that Ford is," said David S. Hoyte, President of Arvin Ride and Motion Control, in making the announcement today. "Rob is well qualified for this position. As Arvin's representative on the board of Ford's Detroit Automotive Manufacturer's Association (DAMA), he brings to the position considerable experience working as a liaison between the two companies," Hoyte explained.

Mr. Malone will workwith Arvin Ride Control's global operation sites in order to coordinate global platforms, provide continuity of communication, develop full systems solutions, and improve Arvin's overall service to the Ford Motor Company on a global basis.

Mr. Malone commented, "I am very excited to be part of the initiative Arvin is taking in its relationship with Ford. When Ford releases global programs, they look for consistent quality in all regions.

"By focusing on Worldwide Ford Sales, Arvin is making a commitment to provide Ford with superior quality products and consistent pricing everywhere in the world," Malone added.

Since joining Arvin in 1990 as a senior quality engineer in the Arvin Exhaust North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  Quality Division, Mr. Malone has held positions of increasing responsibility with Gabriel Ride Control, Timax Exhaust Systems, and ARCUS sales and marketing. He has also completed the Arvin Management Development Program. Mr. Malone holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue and received his MBA MBA
