Arula Systems, providers of solutions for access, monitoring and remote management of devices over the Internet, today announced the immediate availability of a new multiport secure remote management appliance, Cerebus x32. Arula's newest remote management solution enables management of 32 target devices, doubling the capacity of Arula's Cerebus x16, while maintaining Cerebus x16's sleek 1U chassis.

Cerebus x32 provides secure, Web-based, out-of-band access for up to 32 target devices from any Internet browser. In addition to doubling the number of target devices managed from existing Arula products, Cerebus x32 has several new features:

-- Increased User Authentication Security - Cerebus x32 can now be configured
as a RADIUS client and to accept user-installed certificates.

-- Modem Connectivity - Cerebus x32 features an onboard modem for emergency
remote access when the network has failed.

-- ArulaCLI - Cerebus x32 includes a new command line interface (ArulaCLI) for
access via scripts.

Cerebus x32 also retains the features that have kept customers coming back to Arula product family:

-- Remote Management - Access, monitor, administer and

troubleshoot up to 32 target devices from any Web browser

anywhere in the world, while consuming only one (1) IP

address.

-- Collaborative Management and Training - Allows simultaneous

port access - 10 users per port at any one time - up to 50

total users.

-- SecureChat(TM) - Enables simultaneous users to collaborate on

device management and training activities.

-- Get History - Provides users with up to 16KB (contained within

a maximum of 999 lines of text) of recent console history to

assist with debugging.

-- Encryption Security - 56-bit (standard) or 128-bit (optional)

Secure Socket Layer (SSL) handshake protocol and RC4

encryption.
