The display, called Storytime, features works by international artists and graduates from Northumbria University Northumbria University is a modern university located in Newcastle upon Tyne in North East England. Schools
Northumbria offers approximately 500 study programmes through nine Schools:
  • Applied Sciences
  • Arts and Social Sciences
  • Built Environment

It will be unveiled at the university's new Gallery North, in the Squires Building.

Gallery director Helen Baker-Alder said: "Four exciting contemporary artists, Emma Talbot, Dexter Dalwood Dexter Dalwood (born 1960, Bristol, UK) is an artist based in London.

Dalwood received his BA from Central St Martins College of Art, London, in 1985. He studied for his MA at the Royal College of Art, London, from 1988-1990.
, Francesca Steele and Christina Kolaiti engage in stories that touch upon the real and the imaginary.

"These artists' stories are created to delight, to confuse and perhaps to upset that store of memories we hold dear.

"This is an opportunity for the North East to enjoy storytelling through art."

Storytime will run until Tuesday, April 10. Gallery North, which is opposite the rear entrance to the civic centre, is open from 10am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 10am to 4.30pm on Fridays.
