Arts: Arab festival.

A LIVERPOOL Arabic Festival is now set to become an annual event,adding to the city's calendar of already significant events centred on Liverpool's Chinese,African and Indian communities.

This year's programme,launched yesterday,includes a weekend special at the Bluecoat blue·coat

 arts centre An art center or arts centre is distinct from an art gallery or art museum. An arts centre is a functional community centre with a specific remit to encourage arts practice and to provide facilities such as theatre space, gallery space, venues for musical performance, ,School Lane,on July 11-12.

An open-air bazaar will recreate the sights, sounds and flavours of places ranging from Morocco to Yemen.

A special Marakesh By Night feature will include the festival's first international band in residence,Gnaoua.
