American-born artist Tim Wells moved to Northumberland in 1985, fell in love with the county and turned his attention from marine painting to landscapes. The current exhibition at Wallington House shows a variety of styles in Wells' work, from sketch-book drawings to finished paintings. Lloyd Langley, house and collections manager at Wallington, said: "Wells spent a lot of time at Wallington, producing some lovely paintings. It is very appropriate that his images should be exhibited for the enjoyment of our visitors." Wells was a familiar figure in the gardens at Wallington and was often found working with the gardeners to help maintain the famous Walled Garden Refers to a network or service that restricts its users to its own content.
