Artisoft names William T. Peterson, III vice president of worldwide marketing; Peterson joins Artisoft from Compaq Computer Corp.

TUCSON, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 1995--Artisoft Inc. (NASDAQ:ASFT) Friday announced that William T. Peterson, III, 33, has been appointed vice president of worldwide marketing.

Effective immediately, he will be responsible for all aspects of strategic and tactical marketing, including marketing communications, channel programs and public relations. Peterson, who reports to Artisoft Chief Operating Officer Joel J. Kocher, will focus on aligning the company's worldwide marketing strategies with the small business market.

Prior to joining Artisoft, Peterson was director of commercial accounts at Compaq Computer Corp. in Houston, where he was responsible for sales and marketing for the large account customer segment. His other positions during nearly seven years at Compaq included director of portable marketing, manager of desktop and portable marketing, product manager and senior product analyst. He also worked for IBM as an account marketing representative.
