Artisoft announces two new products.


Artisoft, Inc., developer of software-based phone systems, has announced the availability of two new products that expand the capabilities of its Tele Vantage system. Tele Vantage Conference Manager allows businesses to set up conference calls of up to 60 parties without paying for costly service fees. The second new product, Tele Vantage Call Classifier, aims to improve call center agent productivity by displaying Web pages with caller Caller may refer to one of the following:
  • Caller (telecommunications), a party that originates a call
  • Caller (dancing), a person that calls dance figures in round dances and square dances
  • Caller to Islam, the Islamic equivalent of a Christian missionary
 or account details. Both products are available from Artisoft's worldwide network of dealers. Tele Vantage Conference Manager enables business to set up conference calls or virtual conference rooms, eliminating the need for expensive third-party conference services. Users simply call an extension to join a conference, or optionally select a particular conference room. Tele Vantage Call Classifier lets businesses identify callers, look up additional caller data in any database, intelligently route calls and present call center agents with scripts and related caller information before they answer the phone. New with version 3.0 is support for browser-based screen pops. When a call arrives at an agent's desk, Tele Vantage Call Classifier uses caller information to launch a Web browser The program that serves as your front end to the Web on the Internet. In order to view a site, you type its address (URL) into the browser's Location field; for example, www.computerlanguage.com, and the home page of that site is downloaded to you.  window to display the relevant Web page to the agent.
