Artisoft and AudioCodes integrate solutions. (Strategic Alliances).

Artisoft, Inc., developer of software-based phone systems, and AudioCodes Ltd., a provider of voice over packet (VoP) technologies and systems, have announced a joint voice-over-IP (VoIP) solution designed to provide an economical way to manage voice communications across multiple sites. Artisoft's TeleVantage 5.0 can use AudioCodes' MediaPack Media Gateway to enable branch offices and remote staff to be connected to the corporate TeleVantage server. The relationship, formed under Artisoft's Open Communication Alliance, is expected to empower both companies to promote the solution to their respective channels. With MediaPack, remote TeleVantage users function as local users, with simple extension dialing, caller I.D. data and access to the features of the phone system, including the ability to graphically manage live calls and voice mail. By sharing one common TeleVanrage server, these organizations are better enabled to reduce equipment and administration costs and save on long-distance charges between locat ions. The companies have successfully completed inreroperability testing and field trials of the integrated products.
