Article without merit.Of all the articles I have ever read in THE NEW AMERICAN, the one by Dennis Behreandt on "Why Does God Allow Calamities?" is the only one that has been totally without merit. Mr. Behreandt asks a question and then never answers it. He looks to man for spiritual answers about God. God's Word has the answers, and it is quite simple. There are two spiritual powers: God and "the adversary adversary traditional appellation of Satan [O.T.: Job 1:6; N.T.: I Peter 5:8] See : Devil ." God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. This is to be contrasted with what Jesus Christ Jesus Christ: see Jesus. Jesus Christ 40 days after Resurrection, ascended into heaven. [N.T.: Acts 1:1–11] See : Ascension Jesus Christ kind to the poor, forgiving to the sinful. [N.T. spoke about the adversary in John 10:10 when he said, "The thief [the adversary] cometh in not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly a·bun·dant adj. 1. Occurring in or marked by abundance; plentiful. See Synonyms at plentiful. 2. Abounding with; rich: a region abundant in wildlife. ." The adversary is who causes problems and then he has it neatly blamed upon God through religious people.
