Article Marketing ? Does It Still Work

Is article marketing still an effective method for driving traffic to your website?

Absolutely! Article marketing has changed very little since the days writing was established. The only change that has occurred to article marketing is the method used to store the information. There are still many benefits to article marketing. These benefits include the chance for immortality, a permanent web presence and the ability to establish the author as a knowledgeable individual on the subject matter. The chance for immortality exists when an article is syndicated. Someone felt the article contained valuable enough information to reprint the article and adopt it as a valuable source of knowledge. Syndication takes that article and the author to a higher level of status. The author was able to write their article in a way that clearly and effectively communicated the information to the readers and established a level of knowledge considered to be perfect and accurate. By being syndicated, the article will be kept for a much longer time frame in the eye of the public. Once an article is syndicated the amount of time it will remain on the internet can be determined only by the timeliness of the information. If the information still retains its value after 10 or 15 years, the article and it's author will remain available for everyone to read again and again. Think of the books that were written a long time ago. These books contained knowledge that is timeless and valuable to all who read them. Consider the book "How To Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. This book was written in the 30's, but is still one of the best-selling books dealing with relationships. If an article is written with the same type of timeless and valuable information, that article will be around for a long time as well. When an article is well written and contains valuable information, the author is consequently viewed as knowledgeable and informed. When an author establishes themselves in that light people will start to seek out their other writings. Once an author does a good job researching their subject matter they have a greater level of knowledge on that subject. Other less informed individuals seek out that information and attempt to gather that information from individuals that have already obtained the knowledge. This pool of information gives the author greater status for that subject matter. Article marketing is still an effective method of driving traffic to a website. The benefits have not changed since the concept of writing articles was developed. The only thing that has changed is the medium on which the articles are stored. In this digital era there are new methods of driving traffic to a business, but article marketing remains an effective method of marketing.
