FORMER world super-featherweight champion Alex Arthur Alex Arthur (born June 26, 1978 in Edinburgh) is a professional boxer from Edinburgh, Scotland. Arthur is nicknamed "Amazing" Alex Arthur. He is currently the British, Commonwealth, European (EBU) Super Featherweight champion and interim WBO world champion.  admits taking on light-welterweight Nigel Wright is a risk, but he feels he needs a stern challenge to re-ignite his ambitions of fighting again for a world title.

"That is the challenge, that is what is getting me motivated."

"I always set goals for myself. I want to be the first Scottish boxer to win world titles in three weight divisions.

"If I do not perform on December 5 that dream could be over."
