The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

In announcing the completion of the acquisition, Tamara Erickson, senior vice president at Arthur D. Little Arthur D. Little, Inc. is the world's first management consulting firm. Founded in 1886 by Arthur Dehon Little, an MIT chemist who discovered acetate, and co-worker Roger Griffin, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Arthur D. Little pioneered the concept of contracted technology research.  Inc., said, "The combination of Arthur D. Little and Innovation Associates creates an unmatched advantage for us in helping companies move beyond being a restructured player to a global winner."

The Innovation Associates acquisition marks Arthur D. Little's third acquisition or alliance in the past five months. In February, the firm acquired the Joyce Institute, a leading ergonomics ergonomics, the engineering science concerned with the physical and psychological relationship between machines and the people who use them. The ergonomicist takes an empirical approach to the study of human-machine interactions.  consulting firm, and in April, it announced a strategic alliance with workplace expert Robert Levering, author of The Best 100 Companies to Work For in America.
