ArthroCare Announces Management Change.

), a multi-business medical device company that develops products based on its patented Coblation(R) technology, today announced the company has appointed Fernando Sanchez to the position of senior vice president, operations and chief financial officer.

Sanchez, who joined the company earlier this year, has more than 20 years of experience in high-ranking finance and operations positions at a variety of public and private medical device and technology companies. He replaces Christine Hanni, who is leaving the company, as chief financial officer.

"Sanchez brings tremendous talent and experience to this key role, and we are confident he will help continue to drive the company's growth and success," said Michael A. Baker Michael Allen Baker (Captain, USN, Ret.) is the International Space Station Program Manager for International and Crew Operations, at NASA's Johnson Space Center. He is responsible for the coordination of program operations, integration and flight crew training and support , ArthroCare's president and chief executive officer. "Christine has been an important contributor to ArthroCare's early strategy and success and we appreciate her many contributions. We wish her well in her future endeavors."

Sanchez joined ArthroCare in February 2002 as senior vice president. Most recently, he was chief financial officer and treasurer for Novopoint.com, Inc. and Esoterix. Prior to these positions, Sanchez led an offshore manufacturing and assembly operation in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, and a distribution center in El Paso El Paso (ĕl pă`sō), city (1990 pop. 515,342), seat of El Paso co., extreme W Tex., on the Rio Grande opposite Juárez, Mex.; inc. 1873. , Texas, for Gould Inc., a diversified conglomerate conglomerate, in business
