One in six people--over 43 million Americans--have arthritis. It is the number one cause of disability in America, costing the economy almost $65 billion a year. Nearly 3,000 children, one in every three families and one in every six people in Massachusetts are affected by arthritis. More and better treatments for major types of arthritis have come to market within the last three years. Channel 5 News Anchors Heather Kahn and Anthony Everett will host "Living Better With Arthritis," addressing these new, remarkable treatments for arthritis, discussing surgery and therapy options and profiling inspiring individuals who are taking an active role in managing their arthritis.

The effects of the more than 100 forms of arthritis can range from occasional pain and stiffness to chronic pain and disability. "Living Better With Arthritis" is a television show designed to educate people with arthritis at all levels, helping them to lead active, fulfilling lives. Noted experts in the field, and people who model good coping and self-management skills are featured. Show segments include:
