Artest Appoints New Vice Chairman.

Artest Corporation today announced the appointment of James R. Fiebiger, Ph.D. as vice chairman and a member of the company's board of directors. Dr. Fiebiger will actively participate in Artest's strategic and business development for providing integrated test and manufacturing services to the semiconductor industry.

Dr. Fiebiger has 30 years of high-technology experience, starting his career at Texas Instruments as a research and development engineer in 1969, and most recently as president and CEO of GateField Corporation, a field programmable gate array company. He serves on the board of directors for several companies including Mentor Graphics Corporation. Fiebiger, 58, holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and a MSEE from the University of California at Berkeley.
