It might be every 12-year-old's dream--to be a millionaire through one's own genius. That's definitely the case with young Artemis Fowl in the first book in the series, Artemis Fowl, though his fortunes are not the result of good clean work. Rather, Artemis is a crook--a very precocious pre·co·cious

The second volume in the fantasy/thriller series, The Arctic Incident, focuses on Artemis's father, Artemis Fowl senior. He's been missing for two years and Artemis uses all his criminal powers to rescue him after an urgent message reveals that his father is alive and captive in Russia. An unlikely alliance is formed with Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon fairy police as Artemis sets out to save his father and help the police sort out a group of trolls who are creating havoc above ground.

The brilliant Artemis Fowl is at it again in the third installment in the series, The Eternity Code. His father has convinced him to go straight and he will--just after he receives payment for his latest super computer invention. But he's double crossed by a Chicago businessman, and his sidekick The first popular popup program for DOS PCs, introduced by Borland in 1984. Fairy magic must come to the rescue and Captain Holly Short's expertise is availed once more. In the splendid crescendo of an ending Artemis demonstrates a glimmer of conscience. We'll see.
