JS * Artemis Fowl is a terrific character, and his continuing adventures never seem to be published fast enough to suit his fans. This fourth volume in the series is full of devious plotting, evil pixies pixies prank-playing fairies; mislead travelers. [Br. Folklore: Briggs, 328–330] See : Mischievousness , art theft, and pathos mixed in with the usual fast-paced action, clever gadgets and excellent character interactions. Parker's narration adds a lot to the story. It can be easy to forget that the characters are from the British Isles when reading the books; but hearing the many accents adds another layer to the listener's enjoyment. A sure-fire hit that's fun for all ages. Carol Reich, Youth Svcs., Hillsboro PL, Hillsboro, OR |
