Artecon Appoints Chief Financial Officer.


SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 1998--Artecon Inc. (NASDAQ NASDAQ

:ARTE), today announced that Victor Powers has been appointed chief financial officer and vice president, finance.

Powers will report directly to James Lambert, Artecon's president and chief executive officer.

Powers will direct Artecon's financial operations, and will be responsible for all aspects of the company's financial strategy. He will work closely with senior management in corporate planning and financial forecasting, and will focus on continuous improvements in economic efficiency and long-term financial growth.

"Victor brings more than 20 years of financial management experience in the technology industry and we are very pleased to welcome him to the Artecon management team," said Lambert.
