ArtServe Michigan Governor's Awards for Arts & Culture.
WHO: Legendary techno music artists Juan Atkins, Derrick May and
Kevin Saunderson will receive the International Achievement
Award, sponsored by General Motors Corporation, from ArtServe
Michigan in recognition of their international contribution to
music.
WHAT: ArtServe Michigan Governors' Award for Arts & Culture dinner
and awards ceremony. The International Achievement Award is
presented to a Michiganian who has achieved International
prominence in the arts. The 19th Annual Governor's Awards for
Arts & Culture is sponsored by ArtServe Michigan and serves as
its primary fundraiser.

Michael Daugherty (born April 28, 1954 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa) is an American composer. , nationally known composer and composer-in-residence with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) was founded in 1914.
