Art seen.For Sarasota Sarasota (sâr'əsō`tə), city (1990 pop. 50,961), seat of Sarasota co., SW Fla., on Sarasota Bay; settled c.1884, inc. 1914. photographer Nancy Hellebrand, her task in shooting trees, her current focus, is to "ease into abstraction In object technology, determining the essential characteristics of an object. Abstraction is one of the basic principles of object-oriented design, which allows for creating user-defined data types, known as objects. Hellebrand uses Photoshop to combine images in order to create landscapes not seen in nature, to reach "something not visible, but palpable Easily perceptible, plain, obvious, readily visible, noticeable, patent, distinct, manifest. The term palpable usually refers to some type of egregious wrong, such as a governmental error or abuse of power. ." Her works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Philadelphia Museum of Art Philadelphia Museum of Art, established in 1875, chartered in 1876. When the city of Philadelphia planned to erect a building to house the Centennial Exposition of 1876, provision was made to keep the building permanently occupied; the Pennsylvania Museum and School , among others; you can see her art up close in her next show at Allyn Gallup Contemporary Art in January.
