Note

Ask an adult to help you choose, purchase and prepare the dyes.

Be careful! The dye will colour more than your T-shirt. Wear rubber gloves and old clothes. The best place to work is outdoors on a warm sunny day. If you work indoors, work over a sink and protect all surfaces from drips and spills.

up one big peak in the middle of the T-shirt and then wrap three rubber bands around it very tightly, creating three sections in the peak.

For the many bull's-eyes design: poke up little peaks all over the the T-shirt. Wrap each section tightly with two or three rubber bands, creating two or three sections.

Step 3

Use a spoon to carefully pour one colour on the tip of each peak. Then pour a second colour, using a spoon on the middle section of each peak. Drip a third colour on the bottom section. Let the dye set for half an hour. Then gather up all the peaks in your hand and dip the body of the T-shirt into a fourth colour. Again, let it set for half an hour.

Step 4

When your shirt is dry, undo the rubber bands and discover your design.
